not till recently i have started hearing a noise everytime i start my evo up. it sounds like a grinding noise that comes from the intake/upipe area. im not sure if it has anything to do with my transfer case, or turbo. someones told me it might be a loose shaft in my turbo. any suggestions?

 

Does the noise go away when you push in the clutch?

 

well the noise sounds when im starting the car; so the clutch is in. but when my car is started and i let go of the clutch quickly.. the sound is still there. but this sound only lasts 2 seconds or so at most. after the 2 seconds or so the sound goes away. i dont hear the noise when im driving or turning the car off. i would only hear the noise once or twice outta the many times i start the car during the day.
