Insurance keep going up for everyone?

Hey guy,

I dont' know why but the symbol for the evo on the insurance went up from 21 to 25 in one year? Has anyone else notice that the insurance rate going up since 2003? I'm paying like 1800 per year full coverage and 250 deduct. For comparo my 03 was like $1250

yes, def increase. seems with the more evos on the road, the more tickets / accidents.

No mine went down compared to my 1gen MR2. The insurance on my Evo MR is cheaper!

Maybe you should look into a different insurance company. I know AAA has gone up. I have Wawanesa and they are the cheapest I could find and with more coverage than I had before. I pay $850 a year on my Evo and $1100 on my Z06 (with my wife having 1 ticket) My whole family has switched to them, my sis saved $1300/yr and my parents saved $500/yr.

from what my insurance company says it is due to high repair costs on the evo, thats what they said when they raised my collision anyway....we'll see what happens in a couple months when next year's policy arrives

My insurance renewal also just arrived in the mail, and dropped approximately $30 a month. It probably helps if you are over 25, own a house and haven't even had a parking ticket in 10 years of driving. I wouldn't be surprised if you are between 18-24, even without a slew of tickets, if insurance companies kept raising prices and the risk category associated. For those in the big metro areas-- switch to GEICO you will save money!

Mine just went down this summer. I pay 1200 a year on my 03 Evo. My insurance has it classified as a 21 and my territory as a 15.

Dryad:

If I lived in WI, rather than the NY Metro Area, my insurance would probably be $30 a month! j/k. Not to mention-- I have to protect my home and assets so I have $1MM in coverage. That jacks up the cost quite a bit. If I drop to state minimums, different ballgame.
