well im new here and i am with all (most) of you im deciding on what vehicle to purchase. It just so happens im in love with a car, yep it the evo. im trying to figure out if its worth waiting for the IX EVO MR. I drove a VIII at my local dealership and well i was instantly taken and i didnt even get to hit any twisties ( i did get to hit 130mph) i was just wondering about any thing you all could tell me. i have read about the warenty thing and i dont PLAN on any modding as it is new (aww hell who am i kidding) but is it worth the 35K-37K? I really am impressed buy the IX interior and the IX front bumper im starting to question the long wait. bottom line if you didnt have an evo would you wait for the IX MR to come out in 2 months??? thanx for any help in advance

 

well judging by your evom name, you already have made up your mind to wait. lol. either way you will be happy.

i got an 05 ww. i absolutely love it. i looked for one for about 4 to 5 months and it was well worth the wait to me.

as far as modding, good luck staying away. that is one bad bug to fight.

 

Man, you people keep asking us this, but we have no idea if the IX is going to be any good. Cosmetics aside, no one knows what effect the MIVEC head will have on the the IX's modifiability (is that a word?).

The bumper is nothing, and the interior is the same except for a color change...those should have little to nothing to do with your decision. The reason to get the IX is to get the new magnesium turbo and MIVEC head with more hp and tq while getting all of the features of the 05s (FLSD, ACD, 10.5 hotside, aluminum bits). On the other hand, you can get 05s for much lower than MSRP as well as 0% financing for this month only, so you can save a lot of money, although the moment you buy an 05 now, it becomes one year old in terms of model year/resale value.

i was about to get an evo, then i saw the insurance prices and my hopes fell. so after test driving the STI, i think ill go with that. or a c230 benz.

Slam the Evo 9 Bumper on Evo 8 then u will change seat to Aftermarket racing seat Sparco, Recaro, Bride and etcs.. so im going get Evo 8 this week cuz i got good deal.. so im not going get 9.. if i hear 9 Mivec is do good so i can swap Mivec head on Evo 8

I got offer by mitsu they want sell me evo VIII 8 with 0% 60 month is 475 buck, or 72 month at 1.9% for $435 monthly.. but im going talk owner to Lower to 400 or less a monthly.. before they offern me 600 a month.. but i fight.
