Yes it was a great Event and was awesome meeting some of the best. I took home 3rd place Evo Stock Appearing losing in the semi finals to one of Buschur sponsored Evo's. It was my first shootout and def. will not be my last. BTW for those who attended I was the two tone evo Graphite Grey and Rally Red had problems all day with my alky injection spraying all the time even at idle!!! it never has done this before making my car run very rich. But all in all I had a great time and David Buschur GREAT call on making Norwalk keep the event going after the second rain delay we all appreciated that.

Here are the details of the closest race of the day :

ME DAN BUSCHUR

R/T .413 .423
60' 1.593 1.685
330' 4.392 4.640
1/8 6.652 6.928
MPH 107.42 107.50
1000' 8.614 8.894
1/4 10.254 10.529
MPH 136.66 137.60

The new Buschur GT35R turbo kit is a real great unit and as you can see it has a lot of potential considering they were running about 6 psi less boost than I was.

When it snapped it jammed itself agains the front of the motor and squished the stamped pulley. Somebody said they saw something fall at the launch... yah it was a piece of the tensioner!! Oh well...stupid luck I guess. We'll replace the tensioner and go back at it. Another 5mph to go for my 150mph goal without nitrous!
Amazing car! Will you be at the WRX/EVO shootout?

Thanks for the help putting in the Buschur race chip Al and congratulations on your wins! The chip gave me a gain of over 1mph and very consistent times. It is the most inexpensive horsepower gain I have ever experienced.

Here are some of the times I put down with a custom Dynoflash, 3" Buschur SCCA cat back exhaust, K&N Drop-In, Buschur race chip, Exede dual disc clutch, and Hallman boost controller.

Your car still looked strong all day though. You did good especially since that was your first time.

Great race! Do you think you may be coming down to around SC anytime soon?

Great results ! That $5.00 race chip is the best $5.00 you can spend !

If it is the SMC kit sold by Buschur and some other shops, they were having some issues with the control boards in some of the units, and they will replace the defective part with out any problems.

SMC stands behind the stuff 100%. A few boards had defective solder on the MAP sensor connection which causes them to start pumping sometimes. The fix is easy and SMC will take care of anyone at no charge.

BTW - your car looked great and I enjoyed watching it go down the track it was running really strong. I really liked the Outlander car that your shop brought, that was one of a kind.
I just wanted to be clear because I'm sure some people thought we had a motor problem. We swaped the tensioner out and put in a new serpentine belt and beat on the car yesteday and it ran strong without any problems. The thing got really hot when the belt came off (no water pump) so I was afraid I might have hurt it, but luckily everything is ok.
My run was dissapointing, the car was all over the place in 1st and 2nd gear. I downloaded the log and I hit the rev-limiter twice in 1st gear and let out of it 3 times in 1st gear! It's got plenty of power and I think it should hit 150mph traps pretty soon, it has some more left in the tune and we can run 3-5 more psi.
