5 and 6 speed shifters

The evo that I am getting has an MR 6 speed in it. I was wondering if I had to get the MR short shifter, or are the 5 and 6 speed shifters thew same?

A 2003 with a 6spd? Interesting...

Anyway, there are no short-shifters for the 6spd yet, and no, the ones for the 5spd cannot be used.

The price to add a 6spd along with the corresponding transfer case, shifter cables, and shifting assembly would be prohibitive. You could just sell your 03 and get an 05 MR at 0% for much less and with new tires, new brakes, new clutch, etc...

The guy that has it put a 6 speed in it, it is not an MR. Just a regular 2003 evo with a 6 speed swaped into it.
