How to reduce cost of gas during summer...

get a window tin...i was just looking thru some news and
on the article it says, when u use A/C on non tinted vehicle it would take 10 minutes to cool down the inside of a car while it would take about 5 minutes to cool down the tinted vehicle..also the test data showed that temperature change(inside of the car) of non tinted vehicle was more rapid than the tinted one...
crazy gas price..

i hear having your windows open slows you down just as much as keeping your a/c on too

The first test wasn't "accurate". They did it more scientifically the second time, and AC was first to stop. Windows are more efficient, though it won't be as cool.

I was gonna say, there's not way windows down will use more gas than a/c on. With the a/c on it feels like our flywheel is made out of a 100lb piece of cast iron.

on my honda civic, I know when I installed larger diameter rim (heavier) and a wider stance. My gas mpg went down a lot. I wonder if we put a thinner rim and tire we would save move gas. anybody did this to confirm what if you did what rim and tire combo did you use?

of course, more rotating mass where it really matter will slow you down a lot

I watched one of the wrc races on tv and driving in snow that the tire wasnt that wide. they race with skinnier tire so it is possible to install.

if you really want to save gas is dont turn your ac or roll window and the best method is open your sunroof and enjoy the fresh air,but i know half of the evo owner dont have sunroof so i guess they cant experince the sunroof method.
