I'm downgrading.. to an RSX. I drive 500+ miles a week and this car is no longer practical for me.

Just make sure to write "being sold as is" and don't worry about a thing, I personally would take out the test pipe and sell it.

Good luck

A friend told me to tell them that the car is equipped for "off-road" use and then leave the stock cat in the trunk and tell them that if they want to sell it for street they can put that back on.

Why not just put the cat on and save yourself the potential headache?

How many miles were on your car? 22.5 on a trade in isn't bad.

I have an 03 with 34k miles, I wonder if mine is worth that much.

Put the whole car back to stock and sell all of your mods. I'm not sure how many you have as I didn't really read the whole thread, but still. You can easily make at least $500 selling your turboback to people on Evo M. The dealer probably isn't giving you a penny for any of your mods. At least sell all your stock parts if you don't want to go through the trouble of putting the car back to stock.

I inquired about selling my old mustang GT to a dealer, and they DEFINITELY asked if it had cats on it. I didn't end up selling them my car, but the car did have cats, and they would not have taken it if it didnt.

Michigan has no emissions testing either. Only visual inspection if the car is "under suspicion", which only happens if you get pulled over for something stupid.

Come to think of it I think it all depends on the dealer, I just remembered that when I sold my BMW last year to carmax, the clutch was slipping and the driver's door lock was busted out (it got broken into) knowing all that carmax still gave more than kbb value for my 330ci.
