brembo clear coat and wing clearcoat

anyone in upstate ny have had there calipers replaced because of the clear coat comming off? or the wings clearcoat comming off? i tryed to get my replaced, i have an 03 evo with 11000 miles and the clear coats are chipping on my wing and completly off on my drivers side caliper. the a s s hole serivce rep from syracuse tried to tell me that someone used sandpaper on my wing and thats y the clearcoat is comming off. i was actually laughing in his face, he didint like that. he also told me that it was break fluid that got om my caliper and thats y that is comming off.my breaks have never been touched. so here i am looking at this guy and in thinking to myself wow what a penny pinching pillow bitter. i wanted to knee him in the face right there, but i was respectfull to him only because i have untill next july for my warente to be up and i didnt waht to jepordise that. the only reason i tried to get them replaced is because i have herd of many people on here getting it done. he told me that this wasnt a warente issue . after i had showed 3 other evos on the lot that had the same thing, i just said f u c k it and left. one good thing about them not replaceing my wing is, i would have gotten a s h i t t y half carbon half plastic one where now i have the all carbon one. so F them.

i have an 03 and all four calipers are f*cked. my wing also is messed up in two places with the clear coat. freaking mitsu mid-atlantic service a-hole said i dropped something on my wing and, like you, claimed brake fluid ruined my calipers - wouldn't cover any of it. this is why mitsu is in trouble... the dick was even joking with a mechanic driving a car into the shop... "we don't do warranty work here! hahahaha.
absolute a-holes.

I got lucky and my local dealer just replaced my wing without much trouble. THe calipers on the other hand they won't replaced because they said they're not covered under the body/paint warrenty. Complete BS as far as I'm concerned. I'm taking it in on Friday to have the rep actually look at them himself so he can see how crappy they are and that they weren't ruined by brake fluid. I would try to go to another dealer if you can. That's probably what I'm going to do for the brakes.

Don't let those delears do that. Y have an evo 3, mitsubishi replace my wing with no cost (33K miles on my car) the problem with the clearcote is happening more on 03 evo's. They also paint my calipers under warranty. Brembo sent them paint and the stickers and they looks better than new. Dont give up call your area service manager and continue calling, they NOW about that problem but the want to delay the service bc they want us to pass the 36k to denied the service for millage. I had this battle for 3 month thats a factory problem. Mitsubishi send them bulletins to every dealer.

I had my wing replaced, firt the dealer wanted to send it out for paint...I told them they cant do that and that they would have to order a new one. Low and behold they didnt listen and wasted a day of mine only to find out they had to order a new one. I still have to bring my car in for the brake problem.

well guys bringing to another dealer in the area wouldnt matter a bit. the service rep does all of the capital area's mitsu dealers. so i would see the same guy. i would have to take it to a different state in order to try that. this guy was a little b i t c h. my wing started to chip off for no reason. he looked at it like he was sherlock holmes and said that someone used sandpaper on it. i looked and him and said r u serious. i have had this car since it started and i have waxed it thats it. he insisted that sandpaper was used on it.i insisted that it wasnt but i got nowhere. neither really arent concerns of mine but it pissed me off that he basicly called me a liar. i wanted to really f u c k him up so bad.

So the replacement wings are half plastic? I just had them order one for my car, (under warranty). They gave me no trouble about it, but you are saying that the sides are made of plastic or?

So, is it better and is there a way to fix the one I have now and then just let the dealership keep the new one?

I'll let you know how I do - they took pics of the wing for the rep????? My wing is unbelievably bad - they'll probably try to blame it on my RMR CF Gurney Flap

The calipers - I didn't even try. I have a dot 4 fluid in the lines

I can say one thing, i will NEVER buy another new mitsu product, maybe a jdm evo 7 when i pay this car off.. cause that car is built alot better than these p.o.s. cars we have..

You guys need to push the rep harder. If they can get out of paying for it they will. I've had all 4 calipers and the rear wing replaced by the dealer in the last 2 months. My particular dealership didn't even put up a fight, even with ATE Superblue in the lines (brought in my own fluid) and Ferodo 2500's in the calipers. Hell, the first time I dropped it off I still had my mostly worn R compound auto-x/track tires on for fear of them messing up my 5 Zigen wheels.
