price in this comming December?

Hey, I was planning to buy an evo this comming December at latest, September at earliest..What do you guys predict that the price will be? Do you think it will stay the same, around 30K? or would it go down to 26? 27? I read in this forum somewhere and someone said that by september you can probibly pick this up for as low as 25K...and also, do you guys think that there will be a shortage of evo's by december? thanks

I don't think it can go as low as 25K, because the dealer invoice for the car is over 28k, so I think the lowest you can get it for is around 27K-28K

My experience from working at a car dealership (at least out here in NM). Very rare do we have to sell cars far below MSRP, let alone invoice. So I truly doubt they will drop that much. With the Fast and Furious coming out, (as mentioned in another thread) the EVO and Lancer should boost in demand.

I think it is great to be able to help start the pace of a different breed of car here in the U.S. (not claiming that it hasnt already been here in some form) The competition and showdowns of Subaru vs. Lets give the evos a really good name over here, and smoke some cars.

In spite of the rosey predictions of others, I hihly doubt there will ever be significant discounts, if any, on Evo's. Take this from someone who actually sells the things and has some understanding of the business - not some wishful thinker.

04' model pricing will probably increase by up to a few hundred dollars, presuming no changes to the content of the car.

I do know the new lancer is getting a redesigned nose and other cosmetic changes.. From what I was told, the 04 EVO should be unchanged from this year, they may include some accessories that are now optional (Gage pack is a good example) nobody wants a performance car with very little instrumentation.. a 6 speed is possible because the JDM and EUDM Evo 8's have it...
