104 and 94 octane mix
Do this in order -
1. 94(octane rating) x 6(this is the # of gallons of that octane)=564
2. 104(octane rating) x 6(this is the # of gallons of that octane)=624
3. Add 564+624=1188
4. Divide 1188 by 12 (which is the total # of gallons of gas)
5. Answer=99 octane
All you are doing is just calculating an average.
Slowcar's formula is perfect...I just decided to explain it the long way.

simpler way:
take the difference in octane (10), divide it by 2, and you get 5. now add that to 94, or subtract it from 104, and you get 99! ta-da!

Markeddy's explanation, although lengthy, is better in this case, just in case any future mixing is not 50/50, which is much more likely anyway. It's all basic math. I think steelcityevo just needs to know that octane rating is directly proportional...
