turbo lag between shifts?
turbo lag between shifts?
do you guys get a lot of lag between shifts? like when im racing it actually has to spool back up and it takes like 2 seconds to get back to full boost, is that normal?
keep your foot on the gas like 50% throttle as your shifting because as you let the gas off the front of the car goes down and then the turbo loses boost as well...so when your racing either wide open throttle shift or just leave 50% throttle in betwee shifts..

Like other people said you just need to shift faster or don't lift your foot off the gas. When I drag my turbo civic (pretty big turbo) if I lift my foot off the gas it drops out of boost and take a few seconds to spool back up.
I keep my foot floored and literary kick the clutch to shift. It takes some practice the first few times you do it. You will prob bounce off the rev limiter or just grind the gears if you don't shift right.

yea man the hurricane worked out fine for me...just a bit of rain and wind it was pretty much just a severe thunderstorm for my area....we got really lucky..about 50 miles south of us got hit pretty hard.
You have a boost leak. Either that or you are a REALLY low shifter. When I drive around slightly boosting and shifting at 4k I can shift and still get boost right after I shift.

. 2 seconds is a long time, try power shifting- I havent tried it kuz I dont race often and can afford to fall out of boost for a little.
