Recaro fabric and stiching is suppossed to be good. But I don't know if that means the oem applications too. The katzkin stuff might be a good idea.

I've seen Katzkin kits of a few different srt-4's and I think it looks pretty good, plus I heard the evo kits come with door inserts too. I think they cost around $800 for everything, and you get to design the colors and stuff to your liking.

The early WRXs had a leather interior group buy on NASIOC that was $600 IIRC, maybe less. It was very nice, 2-tone, colored stitching, practically any color you could want and most any leather. I actually contacted the guys to see if they would do the same for the EVO and they were not interested.

I would suggest Classic Soft Trim. I've seen it in person on an '03 GSR, two-tone leather..Looked great.

All the installed katzkin kits i've seen look like ***. Installation makes a huge difference also. -Gabe

Did you see that Katzkin offers the forced ventilation (fans) option.. I had those in my last car (Saab) and it was awesome in the heat. Contrary to the post above, I have seen some really nice Katzkin installs, though not on an evo.

yes, the installation is the key, they can look great or they can look like crap, depends on if the person installing them takes their time to do it right...a buddy of mine did his SRT and it looks great, but i have seen some that look like they basically just pulled the leather over the seat hoping it would fit right...

I had good dealings with these guys when I had my WRX. Did it through a local dealer which cost me a little more though.

I was giving this some thought.. I wouldn't normally ever consider doing something like this, but I'm starting to notice signs of wear on my seats...
