Cam Install and ECU Tuning...

Hi All,

Anyone have experience installing 272 cams without doing an ECU reflash?

I plan to reflash eventually, I just wanted to know the timing of when I can do the cam install before getting a reflashed ECU. I currently have the ECU tuned for full TBE and intake. Any stalling issues or potential danger of leaning with new cams?

Brent

you will not get nearly the power out of those cams till your tuned.. wait till you can tune it, then install them..

i would honestly try to do them at and around the same time...you will not want to be running cams, especially 272's, alone without a tune for a while. the idle and lack of gas mileage alone will drive you insane over a short period of time. just try to do it all at once if you can, i think it would be best for you. if driving untuned, i would also not get on it at any time, without knowing your a/f at all, wouldnt be a good idea.
