IVe seen that guy! He doesnt drive it much but I see it at most of the meets...

In Grand Turismo 4... The EVO8 MR handles way better than the TME VI. The TME has a bunch of OVERSTEER! and the MR acts like its on railz!

But it is a fresh car!

Sort of... I was hit and flipped by a drunk driver in my 03 Evo. I bought the STi with the insurance $$$. plus i sued him for my hospital bills and pain and suffering. i spent a week in the hospital. But i miss my Evo so i'm selling my STi and buying a IX MR. I bought the evo back from the insurance company and i am in the process of parting it out. I'm keeping the engine and i am in the process assembling parts for a stroker kit. any advice? check out my post in the Engine/ drivetrain forum.

I would totally agree with you, how can they say the 8 is better wherein they havn't driven one! I had test driven all versions and own an 8 MR Euro version with ACD/AYC and I had enjoyed the handling and fun factor of the 5 and 6. Speaking of looks, no version gets as brutal as the looks of the CP9A versions.

The 6.5 probably isn't 'faster' around a track due to the later models having more power etc. But what people mean by the last of the 'real' Evo's is that it was the last of the Evo's that delivered a pure, adrenalin-charged Evo-driving experience. The CT-9A is alot more of a friendly car. It's not 'soft' by any means, just not considered as raw as an Evo 6. And yes, from what I've seen they do have quite a bit of lift-off oversteer
