K&N Drop-In filter

Just picked up my new air filter and I am quite satisfied with it. The main difference I noticed was that the engine seemed to run alot smoother when slowing down and down shifting. Overall, I think it's a pretty good investment for people who need to change their filters. pick one up!

I honestly don't think anyone has really reviewed one... but I agree 100%... the extra 5-7 hp may not seem like much, but it helps smooth the air flow for sure. I got mine when my stocker needed replacing, nothing beats having something to clean instead of to replace.

Wow, that's ghetto rigged. You know your just going to suck in hot air, thus making less power.

I'd like to hear more about this. I don't want to do any wild intake mods, just a k&n with a turbo back exhaust. This seems like a decent upgrade that doesn't involve much work for a slight improvement in the intake setup.

Outstanding, that's about what I'm looking for. I'm sure I'll get a little crazier once I've had the car longer.

I can hear my APS bov through my Works drop in, even when it's just recirculating. You have to have the windows down and listen very, very carefully.

I have a K & N also. I can't feel any performance gains (not surprising - it's just a filter!), but I can definitely hear my stock BOV more now. Me likey.

what i can say about the k&n filter is that it works well for the stock airbox which we all know is good for 400whp. that's why the japanese don't take it off until they change turbos. on the '05, i INSTANTLY noticed more torque between full boost (3500 rpm) & 5k rpm. on the '03 i noticed more topend since it's modded a little more.

with a panel filter, a tbe, & a good tune, our cars will perform as well (if not better) as the FQ260, 300, 320, & 330 without the worries of the crappy Unichip piggybacks that those cars use. won't beat an FQ400 tho cuz that one uses MoTec...
