I also wanted to trade my 03 in on an R32 about a year ago... I drove one and it was pretty quick but everything just felt too weak... the shifter was very light and sloppy feeling, the clutch was WAY too soft, and the steering was nothing like the evo's. I just wanted sumthin with a lil bit more of a luxury touch to it so I traded my 03 in on an 05 electric blue with the SSL package... I couldnt ever see myself without an evo. The R32 is a nice car and a VERY hot car... but ur never gonna get nething for 30k that is as great as the evo!

ok, i used to work for vw, i am telling you hands down, you will be disapointed, especially after driving the evo. i drove r32's all day long and was at first very impressed by the power and performance, but then i drove an evo and i'll tell ya that after getting in the R32 i was like wtf??? this thing is weak. now, it does have some qualitly features that the evo does not have, like a softer ride, very nice and refined dash, but still not worth the trade imo. tell you what, if you want a little softer ride, trade your evo for a 06 IX MR, the ride is slightly softer, just enought for you to notice it. u will regret leaving the evo for the r32

depends on what you are planning on doing with the vehicle?

I would say for a daily driver the evo would be more reliable and more practical.

Im saying your lloking in the wrong direction. I would go with one of the SABB 92xs... and completely mod that car out!.. Just imagine the looks on peoples faces when you your sabb leaves them in the dust.

obviously his main goal with a vehicle is not ***** out power. I drove a R32 for 46,000 miles in a year and if you are not in it for power and potential, the R32 has a much smoother ride with seats that hug you tighter, and is a much better daily driver. key phrase: if you are not in it for power and potential. <- Which is why I am now in an Evo.

Thats because the back seats fold down in wagons, in Sedans only the center passthrough opens up.

I just read about the new R32 in some magazine over the weekend, looks interesting but I hate the new front end. I would say get a Legacy GT as others have mentioned, same power, AWD and more luxury.
