I had one installed on my 3 days after I bought it, and I'm quite glad I did. I wouldn't see any reason to put one on an 03 unless you had all of the chips, dings, and scratches fixed first. By then, though, you could probably just get an entire paint job on the front for the cost of a clear bra + initial repair. Remember that this stuff costs anywhere from $800-1100 if you pay for installation. If you want to do it yourself, I'd think twice before doing so...

Get a pro to do it. I've seen this done before, and it is not something you want to do yourself.

I have one on my WW 03. Great for rock chips not destroying your paint job, but it is starting to yellow. Started a post a while back and everyone with a WW said the same thing about every brand. There is no reason you should pay 1000 dollars for the work. You can get the best kits for 200 to 300 dollars and then a couple hundred bucks to install.

You get what you pay for and most branded kits (using 3M material) sell for much more than $200-$300, simply because they are guranteed for life not to crack or yellow etc.

Even if you buy a decent kit, it can still look bad if you get a crappy install (and believe me there are some real cowboy installers out there). So, around $1000 is realistic for a decent kit plus a good professional install.

I got a 3m kit for 125 off ebay. I just had it installed for $400. I have a CF hood on a black evo so I think it will be well worth it.

These are just a few of the many companies who sell Clear Bra materials/kits. The thing to bear in mind is that "Clear Bra" is simply a generic term and there are many different materials (polymers) out there used to make clear bras (some are thicker, some are more transparent, some are less prone to discolor etc.) and also the kits can vary from company to company even for the same car (more or less protected area).

The most reputable ones offer a lieftime warranty BUT that may only apply if you have it installed by one of their installers (check the smallprint). If you try to do this yourself and f*ck up, then basically that's it; the kit's wasted. So, unless you really do your homework or you've installed one of these before I wouldn't recommend the DIY approach.

Do your homework before you buy !!

Also, surf on some of the high-end car forums (Ferrari, Porsche, BMW etc) to see who/what they recommend.
