I was wondering if the MAP pocket at the bottom was a DIN sized opening.. I haven't gotten my car yet so I dont know.. but the thought of relocating the radio into the lower opening, and the gages above the HVAC Controls is appealing. I did see a conversion kit for the VII that moved the HVAC controls to that location where the gages go, leaving a double-din opening at the top.. You could use a double-din head unit, or a din head unit and the gages, or all gages if you hate radios..

I didnt think about moving the cd deck down. That isnt a bad idea. I will have to check to see how much room is there. Something tells me, we will be a little short on the room. Has anyone measured this??

(good idea)

Yeah, I hope somebody definitely comes out with a dash kit, because with the way our USDM Evo dash is laid out.. well, I think it's pretty inefficient, we can probably make some space if somebody designs a kit, and see if we can't rearrange the climate controls to the lower half of the dash and free up the upper half. If not, then at least I'd like to have 2 free DIN's, for gauges and a head unit (yes, I'd like to listen to stuff once in awhile.. I take long trips often) 2 DIN's on top of one another in the upper half would rule!

But well, guess we'll have to see how that works out... if we can't have gauges in the dash then I'll havta start seeing about putting them either on the a-pillar or maybe on the steering column...

Defi

I'd recommend the Defi Advance CR gauges. They comes in two dials: White dial will have White and can be changed to Blue, where the black dial (the ones that I have) will have white and can be changed to Red (close to matching with the Evo cluster).
