WAIT! Before you go jumping through hoops with excitement. My buddy had an 04 EVO insured with progressive and his rate went down too. He used to have a 2003 RX8. He wrecked his car a month or so ago and found out why his rate was low. Progressive doesnt recognize an EVO all he was insured for was a LANCER. All they want to pay off on his car is about 15K, he still owes over 22k. SO I would get with your agent and verify what they have you covered for.

i'm a single 22yo male clean driving record i pay $180 per month full coverage with state farm. granted its an 04 sti which, correct me if i'm wrong, i've heard is higher for insurance.
When I was shopping rates a few months ago before I bought the evo the STi and WRX were both on average ~$250 less per 6 months.

My STI was 25% higher than my Evo. Just one reason it's gone.

I just moved to Orlando. I'm getting quotes way lower than my old city of Houston. Used to be $155, my new quotes hover around $90-120 (with more coverage).

I cant wait to hit 25(23 now) as thats when most insurance companies will lower your rates. Working in the body shop industry and having to deal with a variety of insurance companies on a regular basis, I can say that without a doubt State Farm is the best company out there. They pay to have the car fixed RIGHT the FIRST time, and minimize the use of aftermarket parts. They are worlds ahead of Progressive and in my opinion worth a little more $$$ every month. By the way, I have State Farm on both my vehicles-$140 per month for Evo, $50 per for CRX.
