Thumbs up Invidia Exhaust Sound Clip

I took this video clip of my recently inctalled Invidia N1 cat-back exhaust on my stock 2005 EVO. The sound is deep and mellow. I would imagine it would be louder with a DP and HFC/TP.

Enjoy!!

I was under the impression that the Helix is way louder than the Invidia since the Helix does not have a resonator in the mid-pipe.

I am glad I could be of help. The more I drive the EVO, the more I like this exhaust. It has a very deep exhaust note at idle and yet it is remarkably easy on the ears when cruising on the freeway. When I get a dp, I will post a new sound clip.

I pm'd evo8.com, turns out they carry Invidia exhausts and they are located in Ft Worth, just west of Dallas. I think when the time comes, I may make a little trip out there and spice up the EVO a touch!

You will not regret getting this exhaust. Not only does it have an awesome exhaust note, it also saves you 16.4 lbs from the stock exhaust. The EVO is a heavy car and every pound counts.

Just what I was looking for. Do you know how different the N1 sounds from the G200? Also does the exhaust come out on an angle or straight?

It is slightly angled sideways, but it is not angled upwards. I do not know how the G200 sounds. But the fit and finish on this exhaust is next to perfect. I just ordered my JIC dp (it is supposed to fit the 05 EVO), a UR HFC and a resonated LPI test pipe. I will put the HFC on when I am on the street and swap to the test pipe when I am on the track. CA is very strict on having a cat on the car.

nj1266, you said it DOES come out slightly angled?

I'm assuming the fit is good enough that it comes right out the center of the bumper cutout?

The fit is perfect. It is right in the center of the bumper cutout. The tip is the same size as stock and the tip extends beyond the bumper. Check out the pics in my other thread.

The two exhausts I've been looking at are the RMR and Invidia CB. Both sound similair, but I think the exhaust tip looks better on this piece. I'm also not feeling the JDM angle exit on the RMR piece. If I wanted to stand out I''d buy the loudest CB exhaust I could find. Why combine a conservative exhaust note with an angled exit tip? Different strokes for different folks, but for my money this is the perfect CB exhaust.

nj1266...Thanks again for this video and also your first thread with the pics. 2 huge thumbs up!
