need help on light rims
The MR rims are forged therefore really light and strong. it would have to be another forged rim... volk/ rays might have a lighter rim. Gramlights arent forged... thats a tough one!
For pure performance, enkei RPF1's. They aren't forged but they weigh less, super rigid and tough as nails. Cheap to boot.
Realtime racing uses them in their speed challenge TSX. Sport compact car magazine used them on their project subaru.. curbed them big time and lasted. I personally had a set and hit, no more like crashed, over potholes in NYC with no bending.
These are often seen on the track so you know they perform.

Definitely forged but I'm not sure how strong it is comparatively.
17 x 8.0 +35 weighs 13.53lbs
I think you need to go magnesium to be considerably lighter than that.

I had the CP-035 and I have to say that those are really strong wheels and really light , you'll be amazed if you try them . On my Civic , I had improved my 0-60 mph by about 0.3 sec , only using those wheels and Pirelli P7000 Summer tires ( light tires too ) .
