thought I saw somewhere that the s-afc2 doesn't give an accurate reading anyway. I don't use mine.

also after the alarm install, i started having idling problems w/ my car, my cel came on(code was related to maf sensor) and whenever i stepped on it the car had no power. it turns out someone put all my safc2 settings out of wack. i know those guys who installed my alarm had something to do w/ it, but there is no way to prove. it was all fine before the alarm install though.

I'm seeing the same thing with my safc II in regards to knock. If I go to the setting then it changes but under monitor it read 0, nada.

try recalibrating the knock sensor on the safc, and make sure you do it in your driveway after the engine warms up.

So the EVO does read count knock on the SAFC2? The 2g eclipse could not read knock on the SAFC2 for some reason.

yes, it's in the user manual. i think most people who thinks the safc doesn't read knock right on the evo is because they didn't calibrate it right. you need to calibrated it for two specific rpm range so that it doesn't pick up engine noise as knock. and you should recalibrate it after you add each engine mods that will effect how the engine will run and sound.

Forgot where I put my manual but I tried doing that one time and it didn't work. Appreciated if anyone would list the directions here.

Thanks.
