Just picked up my car yesterday!

The car is awesome. Mine is built in Feburary. Any January people?

Ride-harsh
Steering-insane quick
Brakes-not broken in yet
Seating-comfortable (if race probably get race bucket)
Power-guesstimate pretty quick but needs to be broken in
Stereo-better than expected
Transmission-Feels like my E36M3 I had!

Miles-300 and counting

"Seating-comfortable (if race probably get race bucket)"

You really think the seats arent agressive enough for racing??? I thought they were pretty tight not me, and Im one narrow guy. I guess Im just used to the crappy seating in my OZ. But to me, the Recaros in the US Evo remind me of Sparco Torinos.

Anyhow, congrats on the car. I definately like the red. Id say have fun with it, but is anyone having the fun they want to be having while breaking their cars in??? Whats the break in period, 300 miles? 1000 miles? Thats when the real fun will begin for all you lucky people will start......

Got mine from Bosak, in chicago, IL. Really honest people and good to thier words. For me they did everything i've requested. Like premium Fuel and they offer me to watch them wash with my personal request of just using water on the new paint. Unfortunally they want 2.5k over MSRP because that is the market value in the area. I think they have 1 yellow no roof. And another red. I'm the only one who had a deposit earliy. So the agreement at the time was $500 over regardless on how many they are getting and market value. Also I had first choice on all their evos. I thought it was worth the gamble because i wanted to be guarantee to have one. At that time no dealership were willing to sign paper with me.

Just tell them the guy who bough the red evo recommended you and he said you'll do better than 2.5k over. They are not getting that many or MSRP at this time is not likely

Congratulations!

$500 over is a good deal in the Midwest..
I wanted MSRP and wasn't finding anyone local for the first allocation. All wanted Fair Market Markup and nothing close to what we paid at $500 over..

Have fun!

BTW..Nice pad..

My dealer is charging $1200. $700 for the environmental package (clear coat, sealant, etc, Scotchguard) and $500 for VIN etching in the car. Oh yeah, they are also giving me a ride back from the port where I am getting it shipped. I think the ride back is somewhat worth the money..but I still hate dealers!

Vin etching? WTF are they talking about That sounds stupid. Why don't they just say $1700 over. Hey, go tell them 1k or less over and you'll buy it on the spot. Sometimes dealer are impatient and if they have like 10 cars and the sales man you've talked to just might jump on the deal before some other sales man decide to make that deal.

Yeah, I took a chance. I was concerned with longevity of these electronic diffs when I do decide to power up my car. It's when i've seen R&T #'s i realize the car doesn't sucks but perhaps not as good as JDM's? I dont'know?

AS for ACD, is there a horsepower/torque level before it funtions improperly with the stock controller? I was dissappointed not to see a front LSD standrad but I've decided to try the open diff first to see the difference for myself. What is recommended as for front lsd, ralliart or cusco?

So Claudius, I assume you've tried and evo 7 with and without ACD? You tell me do the guys run faster with or without it? I don't know, so i'd have to take your word for now?

With the added weight on this car already, i don't know if i'd want the electronic diffs. All I have to say now is that if our USDM evo handles better than the USDM STi i'm satisfied What if, the Sti out handles the evo due to the revised suspentiona and DCCD/LSD and our car is inferior because decided to cut cost? That's when I get annoyed but, i'm giving a chance for now.

SO far it's a slide steadily. Differnt than fwd, rwd car. I wonder if ACD/AYC would of straight out my car faster? Perhaps easier to drive?
