so im home from college for aweek or so, and tonight just so happened to be the yearly neighborhood block party which just so happens to take place on my part of the street since we live in a circle. well im a lot older than any of the other kids but the parents are all pretty nice people so i figured Id be a good nieghbor and show my face. well my evo was parking in our upper driveway so it was visable from the party, and a lot of people were asking my father about it not knowing wht the hell it was. so the next thing i know i have a group of kids and their fathers all eyeing my car. so i do what any of us would do, i offer them all rides. well long story short i start doing laps letting people take turns getting a ride going waaaay to fast just to show them what it can do. i think i thrilled a bunch of them and scared the sh*t out of the rest. a quarter tank later all the car guys were stunned and wanting to show off their s500's and a8s.

 

would this be a block party in philly?

 

Interesting...I had a block party today close to my house...people saw my car and didnt say a darn thing even as I chatted with them.

I actually get relatively few looks/comments. Its like im drving a taurus or something.

 

my bad should have made that clearer. i go to school in phily, block party was at home in mass. if i were at a block party in my neighborhood in philly the evo would stay in the garage haha

where in boston?.. i drive around alot in Boston I get alot of looks.

I work there, but alot of times I use another car.

 

i say boston because i wish i lived downtown and nobody has heard of where im from in when im in philly, but i actually live in needham. o and by the way there is a very unfriendly girl who drives an mr in needham and she doesnt honk or wave back. me at 5.0slow figured that out when he was up here

I don't know any other Evo owners in MA but I know there is quite a few of them around.

 

I have an evo in Mass it's red and I always wave at other evos lol

 

I never could find out who was driving that car. It's not like its a big town or anything. I might come back up during the winter break. Will you be back home then too?

 

I live in Vegas and I have been next to a couple of evos with no response from any of them. I guess thats why I dont "hang out" Other then that there are so many ferraris and vipers that I look like Im drivin a pinto. Maybe I should move back East.

yea, i guess it depends on the color of the evo, mine is electric blue, i get alota comments such as is that the factory paint? to what the hell kinda car is that? and my favorite how much horsepower does that thing got.

 

I get stares and attention in my EVO all the time.... I think its because of the bright color....
people try to tailgate me on the highway, people gawk, ricers try to race me....
what else is new?
