when you switch to your MR DV you should be fine, and no it will not harm your motor to VTA. it can just make you run rich and you can experiance compresser surge

 

Get the HSK EIDS like someone else said. I bought my car with a HKS RS Intake, TBE, and Greddy Type S VTA BOV. I had the same problem with the idle dropping down. I installed the EIDS and it is fine now. Also if you recirc instead of running VTA it will solve your problem as well. The reason I didn't recirc is because of how my BOV is welded on and I don't have the hose to connect it back to intake. Hope this helps.
