Whats wrong with my twin disk?
Well i got my exedy twin disk clutch installed in my car about 2 weeks ago and started the break in miles. So the clutch has about 600-700 miles on it and i started taking off from a roll. The clutch felt very good but sometimes the rpms would jump a little bit at the top of gears like i still had my foot on the clutch. It almost feels like the clutch is slipping!!! I dont know what it could be....some said it might be that the clutch needs to be bled or the pedal needs to be adjusted.....does anyone know if this could be the reason? So the car has about 1600 miles on it now and i launched the car for the first time and it felt like the clutch slipped all through first and second!!! The thing is that most of the time the clutch feels strong and holds all the power, but only sometimes i will feel a certain slip/jump in rpms. PLEASE HELP ME!!!! O yea my car doesnt have that much power either.....prolly 360-380whp........ Also, could some sort of installation mistake cause the clutch to do this? thanks.
Bleeding the clutch line will not prevent slipping. If your line needed to be bled you would have trouble disengaging the clutch. Make sure you have some movement in the clutch pedal before it begins disengaging the clutch. If you do not, you will need to adjust the clutch pedal as it may not be fully engaging.

i will try adjusting the clutch pedal and hopefully that helps. The clutch better not slip after that.....its a FREAKIN BRAND NEW TWIN DISK From EXEDY!!!! Also, is there anyway someone could mess it up from install to have it slip like that? maybe grease or something on one of the plates?....i dont kno.
Seems to me like a bad install job - they may have goten grease on your unit during the install or perhaps your rear seal or trans seal may be leaking ? Good luck

Yes, and also check your pedal adjustment. Sometimes a shop will adjust the clutch out too far to make it disengage properly, which is a nasty side effect of a two disk clutch. Its better to have it not disengage fully and baby your tranny than have a 2000 dollar clutch slip to its death.
