You mean good luck for trying to get $35K for an MR! All the dealerships are trying to get rid of all the '05s and bring in the new '06s.

Edit: I didn't mean to come off as an @$$, just stating my 2 cents. And the 73 miles on the clock is not going to help their case.

I don't know the dealer himself.. but an MR with 73 miles would lead most people to believe that this was a "tester" car....... who is going to drive 73 miles without beating it up alittle?

Yeah that is really low mileage. I would like to have an MR, but I would have to pay probably another 10k on trade.

I've seen the car first hand, and was interested, Jim wouldn't allow me to test drive until I had in writing that I was interested and they ran my information for financing. I've run into that same argument before, so it wasn't surprising. True, with 73 miles, someone has been taking her home from the lot probably. I wouldn't hold my breath on getting them to move too far off the 35k though, it most likely is the last MR in the northeast at this point. Nonetheless Jim - the owner - spent about 2 hours talking evo's with me, and then another full day trying to push my financing through (long story), so atleast they are very helpful for a mitsu dealer!

Ok, so the 06's are coming when? nobody really knows. The 06 MR's are going to $500 higher than the 05's and they only made around 1000 to boot. I don't know how you come up with $40,000 for the car. How about $37,500 out the door with taxes at the most. Throw in the 0% for 60 months and you are saving some serious cash over the term on the loan. I would say good luck getting a good deal on a 06 MR. Do you really think that Mitsu is going to keep offering rebates/ 0% on the EVO's after the new year. Just my 2 cents.

I'd buy it if I didn't live 1700 miles away. Too far for me to drive and trade in my car.

Take it easy there dude First off I am not jumping to conclusions. No, they are dealing on 05's EVO VIII's not the last couple of 05 MR's. How did I get those numbers, well lets see. $36,096 MRSP + taxes, etc assuming 6.5% rate is $38,620 and of course $500 lower if you are a current Mitu owner. So I was off a little on my fiqure on the top of my head, but that car is not going to cost you $40,000. That was my point! I am just playing the devils adovcate for those guys waiting for the 06 MR's to come out.

Sorry man, didn't mean to go crazy.....a little stressed out with school and stuff. Anyways, I'm sure dealers are willing to deal down any remaining '05s, including the MR. This dealership would never sell the car for $35K, especially since the new '06s are about to come out. But now I see where your coming from, and this is definitely the time to look out for some really good deals. Again, sorry to freak out on ya.

Hey no problem! I understand what you are saying. I just got back from work and it's late, so sometimes things just don't come out as planned when typing on the computer. Good luck with your school stuff.

I paid $33000 for my MR with 7 miles on it. Even if it is the last one, for that price I would be looking at getting an 06 if they didn't want to deal.

Yeah I hear you. There is nothing great about paying $35,000 for a limited production car right. I didn't mean for this thread to become a pissing match about paying sticker for the a 05 MR with a 70 miles on it. I just thought someone out there might be in the market and have the means/ passion to go buy one of the last ones.

Well, not every dealership is looking to deal. There's an AP silver MR at the Lewisville Mitsu dealer in Dallas, and they're still asking $3K over sticker, and they won't come off it.
