They would've used the RB25 tranny because it's easier to convert in a RWD car as a GT-R box has holes for the transfer case, and the RB25 box is also the strongest factory Nissan box you can get.
Back on the subject, you'd probably regret trading your Evo for an R33. Has it been converted to left-hand drive?

You also have to consider this... my best friend over in Grand Junction had a 91 RHD Silvia...(Not a Skyline but still a rare car) Legal and everything! It was his daily driver.....One day he was driving to home, when some jacka$$ ran a red light and t-boned him...Now the car is totaled and now his rare car is gone...the same thing could happen to a skyline! You never know what might happen until its to late... With an Evo you would probley get top dollar if anything like that would happen.

As another CO guy, i must say stick with the EVO. RWD + CO tends to suck in the winter. Not so much cause we get much snow, it just comes out of nowhere lol. 90 one day, 60 the next, 2 feet of snow for 3 days, then 75 again. Ahh....winter in the Rockies
BTW where did 9Second open a shop? I'm in thornton, i'd like to check it out

No way!
I shipped a Skyline back from Japan back in 92'...and it was a nightmare!
It might be easy to get parts today vice back then, but still its an expensive choice.
What happen when your winshield breaks...check the price on a windshield for a skyline.
I know we have ebay and other companies that can get parts but its a hastle..icouldnt even get parts from the nissan dealer...they wanted my first born for parts

Explain: We buy the car in Japan for a low price, ...but when (our) the car made it to the states the jack the total price (for conversion fees and etc. B.S) owed up by thousands of dollars and if you didnt pay by a certain time they kept you car and ended up with a whole lot of skylines for free.
I shipped my into Jersey and conversion fees was agreed $2,700.00, when it made it to the states and time for pick up...the price was $3,500.00. I paid it because I just wanted my car! (All they did was put marker lights and reinforcement bars in the front doors)
Unfortunately my buddies that shipped theirs into the West Coast got screwed and lost their cars to a certain company based in Califonia .
