I hope he puts all the power to the ground. It would be nice to see an evo in the low 9's or even the 8's. It is a huge goal to achieve though.

Having a car with this much horsepower you have to keep in mind its not a matter of if you break parts but rather when will they break. They will break and most likely often. From reading the other thread it sounds like 3240 beefed up a lot of parts that would normally fail so lets keep our fingers crossed. It could take many passes to get the car dialed in at the track too.
Totally agree. It's a long process especially when it's self funded and I have one person who's working on it. We've beefed up everything that we possibly can but sh*t happens. I was kind of laughing at this poll because I'm confident that we'll hit the 800+awhp target on a dyno. The turbo is capable of making 1,000 hp. The fuel system and the cooling system can easily hande 1,000 hp. But, can I put it to the ground, will the engine blow up? I don't want a dyno queen but I will post one "dyno queen" sheet just for fun. Will the car run at that level of tune on the track while we're trying to dial it in? I don't know yet but I doubt it. Anyone can bolt a huge turbo on a car with nitrous, been there, done that. This project has been a blast and will continue to evolve.

YOu ought to trailer it to a track that's a bit closer to sea level ... if you get but one good pass, may as well make the best of all the extraneous factors...

It's in Philly now. We'll try to make a few sea level passes before it heads back to Denver.

You're comparing a "quad turbo big block camaro" with this car?

Exclamation

3240: I have to applaud your project because not many people will try and "break the rules" of what's logical and usual in the motorsports arena.
Jim Hall didn't come-up with their Chaparrals just by trying to stick to usual stuff and tire grip!.
Please keep us posted and good luck!

Like he said... Look at the twin charged 1985-86 Lancia S4 Group B rally car with an official hp of 550 but actually closer to 700 awhp from a 1.8 liter! A rally car- as in epitome of reliability. What does a quad turbo big block camaro have to do with twin charging a car or the way the turbo faces?

No offense but.........didn't you state that this was your last post on this subject??

Maybe you should have kept to your word and let a great project go on unmolested by your inside the box thinking.
