Possible EVO Record Breaker?

I'm not sure how many of you have been following the thread about evom.net member 3240 and his supercharged/turbocharged EVO, yup you heard right supercharged and turbocharged! The turbo is a "Holsett HX50 and the supercharger is a one off manufactured in Europe by the same guys that make Kleemann" (qouted from 3240). The turbo is approx. the same size of a GT42R and the supercharger not only helps to add additional horsepower, but should help the turbo spool much more quickly. The car recently had it's first dyno tune session and here are the numbers-

4,000 rpms = 210 awhp and 280 ft/lbs of torque
5,000 rpms = 390 awhp and 400 ft/lbs of torque
6,000 rpms = 500 awhp and 430 ft/lbs of torque

If the numbers seem a little low, it's because this was done at only 25psi . They ran into a little hiccup and decided not to push it further on it's first dyno session. Monday they plan to get back at it and they are planning to up the boost to
38-40psi. How much power do you think this EVO will make at 38-40psi? My guess is that it will make more than 700WHP, somewhere between 700-750WHP. But what should be even more interesting, is the power curve, if it's as impressive as I am predicting, this car could challenge Turbo Trix for the quickest and fastest EVO VIII in the world, and what's even more amazing is that it is privately owned and not a shop car.

making power from these engines isn't the only to be the issue when challenging turbotrix... plenty of cars out there are making huge power that "should" challenge the record.

Keep in mind:

The car was street tuned and we were hitting 34psi at just over 5,000 rpms. Last night on the dyno the turbo/supercharger bypass valve was sticking. So, we ran it up to a max of 25 psi and only hit 20 psi at 5,000 rpms. My old setup was 600awhp and it ran an 11.4 @ 124mph 5800 ft above sea level. This car already makes my old setup feel like a Toyota Prius.

Getting the power to the ground will be the tricky part, something that Turbo Trix is very good at. The dogbox and sequential shifter should certainly help.

That's a great, unique idea and will be interesting to see the #s. And then if it can translate at the track. That quick spool would basically take the place of TTx's nitrous, is that the idea?

It is. The idea was to build a high HP car that had a power band that could be used on the street. I didn't want to use nitrous. I also have an issue with altitude since I live in Denver. It's very difficult to spool a large turbo up here.

why would they mount the turbo exhaust side towards the front of the car instead of the inlet being foward with the headlight out for some ram air action

Don't worry about. Look at some of the pictures up close on the other thread and you might be able to figure it out. Ram air action, you're kidding right?

The problem will be getting the power to the ground without breaking parts and making a clean pass. Power, traction, and driver ability are the main factors. Without all of them present, its just a high horsepower car.

I hope he puts all the power to the ground. It would be nice to see an evo in the low 9's or even the 8's. It is a huge goal to achieve though.

Having a car with this much horsepower you have to keep in mind its not a matter of if you break parts but rather when will they break. They will break and most likely often. From reading the other thread it sounds like 3240 beefed up a lot of parts that would normally fail so lets keep our fingers crossed. It could take many passes to get the car dialed in at the track too.
