I have been quoted between $1200 and $1800 per year depending on whether it is labeled a "hot car".

He's 17 and it's State Farm, I'm not surprised.

17 yr olds shouldn't drive EVOs.

I'm with USAA and I pay $340 every 6 mo. They don't have this car in their system yet so maybe once they know what it is my rates will go up...I hope not.

bishiboy,
I just called USAA today and they have the Evo up. I got quoted $1900 per year for the car in Germany. It can be a bit higher in Germany, but lower than say Colorado and Texas.

I'm 24, married, clean record (nada), multi-car discount. Our 02 4Runner is 1100 per year.

BTW, both of those are with $500 ded across the board.

91TB78, I gave them my VIN and it didn't show up as a vehicle. I think they based my price on a standard Lancer. They also told me it took until Jan 0f 03 the update all the 03s, (which actually come out 4-6 months prior). I've got the car now so I hope the rates don't go up.
I love my EVO!!!

I just got my updated insurance info from State Farm. When I first called them, they didn't know what an EVO was.

Anyway, the grand total is $405 every six months. That's $250 deductible, full coverage, primary daily driver. That compares very well to my wife's 2003 Exploder, I mean Explorer. In fact, I think it's actually cheaper. It probably should be, I suppose, since the Explorer would be more expensive to replace.

We have a super clean record for about 15 years with State Farm and several cars on the policy.

33, clean record, multiple cars..... $450 a years.

I don't think Erie Insurance knows about the car enough to charge me the usual "surcharge".?

My Mustang is about $700 per year full coverage, so either way it is not too bad.
