spring install question..

ok well we followed the guide in the how-to forum but we're having problems with the rear. if you look from the trunk where the rear strut bar is and push down on the car, the shock comes up. we cant figure out the problem...any help?

is everything reassembled properly. it sounds like you didnt reassemble the strut properly. did you put the top hat back over top of the strut. it sounds like that is where your problem is. but you wouldnt have been able to put the strut back in without the spring compressed and the strut assembled properly.

did you put the rubber bumper back on the underside of that shaft?? there should be two rubber bushings-one to go below the bodyline and the other goes on top as you have pictured. ???

Your problem is that you didn't reassemble the shock correctly. It's probably the dust cover not installed. Happened to a friend of mine.
