This may seem like my first post but i have been reading posts for awhile. Anyways I was wondering what are " the things to look for when buying a used evolution".

How do you know if the car has been abused ?

I'm interested in TB Evo located in SI, NY with, approximately 17k miles. The owner i heard was some professor in Chicago who now goes to the big apple so an evolution was pointless for him to have.

The dealer is asking for 24k. Is it a good deal? ( btw all the enkei rims are scratched so I'm thinkin either the owner didn't know how to park or he just didn't care about the evo)

Thoughts and suggestions?

 

there are lots of threads about this, search, for 25 or 26k you could almost get ur self an 05 with 0%, and save all the interest ud be paying on the other

 

look at the rear back bumper for burns or discoloration early sign the car was modded with exhaust or running race gas.

Look for what appears to be cut then replaced boost lines. The boost line near the Intake mani has plastic coil around it make sure it's there.

No one flame me I am only giving him advise to the things that I removed or stuff that happens to modded cars.

just buy a new one, if you can afford to pay 24k for a used evo.
