Getting a new Evo IX in Dec/Jan
Getting a new Evo IX in Dec/Jan
Think it will be possible to get a brand new Evo IX, non SSL for 31k OTD given past experience buying the cars?
I'm determined to get one, have 7.5k cash saved up atm, waiting til I have 10k saved which should be dec/jan barring any unforseen expenses. Top it off with my truck traded in which should be 4k lowside, 5.5k high side.
The woman gave me approval ( not that I needed it
) since I've been bloody talking about them since 2003, and she's tired of it. As long as she gets a nice Christmas present I suppose?
Until then, I'll continue to lurk.

Well I can always hope for 31k + TTL. I just have horrible memories looking at 03's when they first came over, drooling over them, then seeing the 7000$ dealer markup on the windows over MSRP here locally.
And as far as getting a used '03, I doubt I'd trust the car completely buying it used, never know what happened to it before you get your hands on it. I really like MIVEC, for tuning purposes as well as the better fuel economy since this will be a well used daily highway driver, and the better interior is especially attractive. Those, plus less than 10 miles when I get my hands on it is worth 7-9k to me.
Knowing me though, if there was an Evo VIII locally that was less than 37k for a non SSL I'd probably cave and buy it on the spot.

Dealer locally had a 05 non SSL with 59 miles for 36k. Had 1000 in tint, "sealant", and "interior protector", as well as 4000 "adjusted market value" stuck on the end.
I just call em as I see em. If I am going to buy one, it looks like I'm going to have to drive 500 miles just to find a dealer that won't jerk me around.
I also did not say I'd buy one locally for 37k. I said LESS than 37k. Ie, not the ridiculous markup the dealers in the vicinity have done. Was a touch of sarcasm in my previous statement if that was not noticed.
