ok so with the power of an evo..it's really easy to get caught up driving 80 by about 4th gear. so im wondering..do you think it's worth investing in a radar detector?

 

After 2 tickets now in the evo, and 1 in another car, I'm wishing I had invested in a radar/laser detector/jammer a long time ago. I need to slow down...

 

in ways i say yes and in others i say no. i mean if speeding you have to take the chance of the ticket i mean the cop can be hiding and wont have radar on untill you go pass so there for speeding 300-400$ for them it wont help. or if you are driving and he passes you. or you raceing someone. in all my tickets i have no needed a radar. would it have help maybe. but i say if come coming from a stop hit the gas and see no head lights get off and have some fun on back roads. and if get stop just say your crazy. no but radar helps but its just another thing cop going to see and want to get you for. so its a 50 50 thing. if want to spend 300 for a v1 which is the best i think becasue shows you where its coming from. and also if want that 300 to go into car. well 400 for v1. ok botton line if have money to spend get the v1 with remote display. and have fun. just dont take it for a titcket saver still have to keep eyes open.

I have a V1 now and love it, it's amazing on the highways, but alittle difficult to read in the cities.

I plan on getting a Blinder also.

Couple those two with Vail and you should be all set.

hahaha knock on wood...but the only reason ive been pulled over since i got my evo is cause i dont have a front plate..but he let me off.. like i said i try not to speed, but on the occasion i will..but i guess you guys are basically saying.get one if you drive stupid fast? lol

 

^ lol i up that one. but i mean its hard to keep the evo down in the speed limit. i mean i find my self saying ok im driving good for once and then look down and im like holy shiv. but i mean just have fun with car i mean all yough its going to happen at this age cops look for the yough group. i know people who are like 30-40s now and they get pulled over they say some shiv and the cop says ok have a good night guys. and they go. when i try and say anything act this or that. cop gives me more problems. and i mean im a little white kid. wait sorry going off topic.

on topic botton line if have the money for a radar and a nice one get it cant hurt to have it. always will help out on some line.

 

Get a V1, it will pay for itself within a few months.

 

no dude i mean i was going like 65 in a 55 and like he comes after me becasue ever one see cops and they go like 45 in a 55 which is like what the beep. so i go little over passing people and plus see my car looks all speedy. and also me a yough kid. and i mean i go to a town and i get pulled over just for them to see the car or like to talk to me or like to try and give me a problem. which is so dam gayyyy. when i go to a town were the car is like not know to man or somthing. but most off when get pulled over cops are ok with me. becasue they see im not no wiger. dude one nite was a lucky nite racing friend in pocisha and like holy shiv i thought going to get naled. but didnt haha. he got me over and saying whats wrong with me. and i was like wow dude thats all out of line dont say whats wrong with me. hehe anyhow im going off topic again. and on that note no one going to be able to understand what im saying anyhow.

 

A radar detector is only worth the price you spend on it. I spent $75 on my radar detector and have been pulled over 2x with it in the car.

 

my belx65 alerted me of a cop over a small hill today. i wasnt speeding at the time but it was nice. the things go off on K bands at grocery stores now btw

 

My V1 paid for itself the first week I had it on a trip from Reno to Vegas. My father was VERY skeptical about it working, but it alerted us to a sherrif in Tonopah miles before we saw him (and we were doing around 120 at the time).

 

Do not buy a blinder. Worthless. Wait for the new anti-lasers to come over from europe.
