Personally, I've been caught less without one. Detectors tend to give a false sense of security.

 

my escort solo2 has paid for itself 10 folds.. i dont have to drive like a nut... ALL you need a decent radar... whoever says they dont need it is just ignorant.... one unlucky encounter with a pissed off cop can land you a ticket for going 65 on a 70, and you end up paying MORE then one damn radar detector.. come on people, use your brains.

there is no such thing as a 'smart' speeder, more like a lucky speeder. remember, it only takes ONE ticket to pay for a decent radar detector.

Buy a good one you will not regret it.My passport 8500 has saved me a couple
of times.Once you start modding you look down and you are going a lot faster then
80 mph.

Hell yes...get one...but it doesn save you from laser..though..it saves me alot of times..
