congrats on the purchase and TB ROCKS!!!
Now a few house keeping items you should keep in mind before you drive off the lot
1. Check the Engine Oil Level - Should not be over the max level or below the low level
2. Make sure nothing looks unusual in the engine bay (ie all the hoses seem to be connected (i doubt if you'll have any issues)
3. Make sure all the lights work
4. Have the dealer change all fluids before you drive off. Depends how long they've had the car. How many miles on this car?
5. Make sure you check the rotors and pads. Some people have had wrapped rotors or crumpled pads because the car was sitting out in the open for quite a few months
6. Lastly take it for a test drive and make sure to pay attention to any weird sounds that may be coming and the clutch seems ok to you
7. Take someone who already owns a EVO with you and they may be able to tell you if they hear any unusual sounds
8. 99.99% chances are you should be ok. Just keep in mind it's a high performance car and you will have to spend money on maintenance if you drive like you stole it
9. Just do us all a favor and don't dump the clutch every time you're at a light. Otherwise we'll be hearing from you on how bad the clutch sucks. People who have had these problems are people who dump the clutch a lot or just don't know how to drive a stick. There are many people who drive stock and modified EVOs with stock clutches with over 25-30K miles on it.
10. PLEASE BREAK IN THE CAR and follow Mitsu break in procedures.
Enjoy
