Thanks guys! I know i took a chance on a modded one, basically I figured if I had to fix something I'd probably just end up breaking even on the deal (since i'd have done just about the same mods anyways). So far so good though. I must say the previous owner was absolutely meticulous about everything! I even have the stock clutch, exhaust, intake, and all of the service records and receipts. Totally a 1 in a million shot finding this car with such a good previous owner. I've noticed a lot of attention lately too, this car might actually turn more heads than the trans am, atleast in my current neighborhood. I'm hoping to put some fun miles on it before winter hits though!
And if I'm really lucky it'll rain soon, so I can give it a good lower speed workout

the "thunk" you're hearing is not a good thing.. try give it a bit more gas when you shift a bit slipping and it should go away.
from what i heard, coz we're AWD instead of 2 wheels drive system we are easier get the "thunk" because usually 2wd cars like mustang etc will just make the wheel spin/burn out. but it takes way more power for AWD cars to do that thus the energy kicks back into our tranny and it'll damage the system. i may be wrong so please ask around.

yeah, i'm not overdriving the car by any means. I just have to get used to engagements points with a twin disk and a superslick 6 speed. Mitsu really did a nice job on that tranny.

hey BrMooRke - a girl in an MR WW - that's about as good as it's gonna get i think! Hope you're enjoying it as much as I have been. And it certainly is a different feel than the domestics, not to mention how much more i like having an IRS on these sh!tty roads. But, I will say, the firebird will always be my first love just not my current one
I paid 29k for the evo, from a dealer with all their inspections and certifications and everything even with the mods. And I got a competitive rate from my bank (not 0% unfortately though), so overall I'd say I did ok.

Rock on! There isn't a better car to mod on the planet! I am thinking of selling mine with less than 5000 miles because of sponsored race car offer. I will give my $10,000 in upgrades for free. Curious if my $34k asking price (stock MR market value) is fair considering all my upgrades and impecable maintenance record. Anyone looking for a MR like yourself could really steal a car perfectly set up and proven! Thanks for your feedback. AA
