Come on people (rant inside)
This is barely complaining at all compared to what the subiedudes are going to do when the STi gets here. Those are some whinny b*tches. In fact they are already complaining about the handling, interior, key, etc.
I for one and am content with the fact that the EVO and STi are even here. What was once a dream is now becoming reality.

OK, i'll be the first to rant!! I'm pissed that the EVO is only putting down 180 WHP according to shiv!!! Consumers always get the short end of the stick!! I love the evo, and i'm a die hard fan and have been for years.....but this kinda dissapoints me! What was mitsu thinking?? Some evos he tested were putting out less boost too! Puts new meaning to "watered down version." Anyone else saddened by this?

Honestly - if anyone is complaining about this stuff then you need to admit to yourself that you bought the wrong car. My parents got an A4 with the Sport Pkg this year and are making the same complaints about a harsh ride. But, when we were at the dealer and I suggested that they consider one without it, they said they liked the look of the car more with the lowered suspension and the 17" wheels>8^)

I'd really like to upgrade, but it's my wife's daily driver. LOLIf the Evo's ride quality is anywhere near what my GTI VR6 was when I had H&R coilovers, then it's all good.
Ok, I bought one this weekend. I traded in my WRX.. All i have to say abou the evo is it is a ****ING AWSOME CAR!!!!
It is setup perfect. This is how cars SHOULD come from the factory..
Yes the brembos make a little squeal at low speeds, but to me it feels great to me..
It feels close to my old 3rd gen with ebach springs..
The only thing i am disappointed in is the fact it seems low on power. But that is just how it feels.. Need to dyno it..

People love to complain. It's human nature.
When they got their car's, all many could care to verbalize was that it was fast or awesome....But now that people have complaints, they are much more willing to verbalize and clearly spell out their issues in paragraph form.
This is an Evo. Anyone who knows anything about Evo's knows that they are loud, rattly, and harsh. If you did not know this before buying your car....it's your own fault for not doing your research.
Regarding Shiv's Dyno runs....I am willing to bet that the low hp ratings he got were due to the crappy low octane gas you have in CA.

I am not in CA.. I am basing off it on the fact that it feels too slow.
My WRX was alot quicker. (It was modded)
The EVO does feel down on power.. Although i would rate it higher then ~180whp.. It is probably ~220WHP So it might be ok.. I am sure it will pick up some more power by ~3K miles..

I have to wait until the end of the month so I am very interested in all comments good and bad plus Mitsubishi quality is not exactly legendary. At the very least, allow some balance and for every ten "OMG its a rocket" post let 2 "it rattles and the brakes squeek" be posted.
I would encourage owners to post their candid impressions. I'll sure read them.
