Come on people (rant inside)
Come on people (rant inside)
We wait for months and months.
For a near-supercar. For many a dream car.
A high performance, race-derived sports machine.
And here we are, people complaining about noise, vibration and harshness.
I swear to god, if I hear anyone else complain that the car is too loud, or too harsh, or whatever else.
Just unbeleivable.
even warned you - this is a high performance car, it's rougher than normal, its louder than normal, etc etc.No more complaining, OK? At least until I get mine...

With so much expectation, you have to be prepared for differences between the dream and the reality.
I don't think anyone's been disappointed so far, they're just voicing their smaller displeasures with the little things. It happens.

Damn - who are these complainers??
I love absolutely every single noise the car makes. It's freaking ferocious!!
From the intrusive turbo woosh, to the beefy exhaust note at idle, to the mechanical noises emitting from the drivetrain -- I think the car is simply marvelous sounding.
And harshness?? Come on seriously??
Have you felt the way the suspension just soaks stuff up at speed? Sure you feel some little bumps, but this is a race tuned suspension for crying out loud! Run it through some canyon roads and feel it soak up the dips in the road without even wavering from your intended line - this car is a dream.
Honestly - if anyone is complaining about this stuff then you need to admit to yourself that you bought the wrong car. My parents got an A4 with the Sport Pkg this year and are making the same complaints about a harsh ride. But, when we were at the dealer and I suggested that they consider one without it, they said they liked the look of the car more with the lowered suspension and the 17" wheels. Anyway, I'm with jedinite - get over it or go get something else and save the EVO's for those who have been longing for a car like this one.

I have got to agree with you guys. We have a Cooper S that rides just as stiff, and the Evo replaced a lowered 2000 Eclipse GT that while stiff, failed to deliver even a fraction of the handling performance. The car is not an Infiniti or Bimmer - rather it is a (mostly) uncompromised sports car. From my experience, it's actually more tractable than other sports cars that deliver similar levels of performance (Cobra, Vette, etc.)
As far as noise, the car is a mechanical symphony. While it doesn't sing like a Ferrari, it make beautiful music throughout the car. I could do with a little less wind noise, and minus a couple of rattles on the passenger side, but they seem to magically vanish as the turbo spools smoothly to 7k rpm (or maybe I'm too busy looking for black and whites).
Drive on...
