Paperback Repair Manual

Does anyone know where I can get a paperback repair manual for the '03 evo? Does Mitsubishi sell one of those huge repair manuals that tells you absolutely everything about the car? I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee and in the owner's manual in the back there was a form you sent in w/$55 and get the book from Chrysler. I have a cdrom manual, but that is pretty vague. Thanks for your help!

They're available to order through any Mitsu dealer, but you're gonna pay big $$$ for 'em - different local dealers quoted me prices ranging from $250 -$350!!
I did some looking around & finally found a set on eBay for much less.

For an '03 Evo, the OEM manual set is Mitsubishi publication # MSSP-206B-2003 (4-volume set)

DO the printed manuals have a listing of Mitus part numbers for each part? If not, is there a publication out there that does?

Manuals do not have part numbers, since they are subject to frequent change, replacement & revision.
To find part numbers, you'll need a copy of Mitsubishi's CAPS (Computerized Automated Parts Search) program; ask around the board if anyone has a copy (but I'll warn you - it's a BIG download!)

don't forget about the part number thread:

I saw this post on Lancerregister which sort of mirrors what I was looking for. Seems like 4-6 had such thing available.

Here the post:
"Looking through the US Evo8 Technical Information Manual (PrefaceForMMSA.pdf)
The document makes reference to a service manual [MSSP-206B-2003] and a Parts Catalog BUM6K103A .

Has anyone come accross this Part Calalog.

In short I am asking if anyone knows of a Parts Manual for the Evo 8 similar to the ones you could get for the Evo4-6 where you had an exploded diagram and the individual parts numbers.

AFAIK Mitsi only have an Intranet based parts system for the E8.

If anyone knows any other sources of info (or has a stand alone version of the Intanet site) then please let the world know."
