You can chop up a down pipe and put a cut out on the DP or you can replace your cat with a cutout.

If I was going to put one I would put it in the DP and keep the sotck cat and catback. That way the closed noise is almost stock and the most gain from the opening being close to the turbo. But I have NEVER seen any dyno graphs to support gains.

Yes, my car is filthy... There are gains similar to driving with a full tbe, and the sound is undescribable. At 7k it sounds insane. Be warned you will have to clean it frequently unless you want to hear a slight leak while closed. I might actually be selling my setup here pretty soon... Pm me if interested.

I asked some friends about this.. Turns out my buddy with the SRT-4 has this done. Sounds mean, but i'd stick with a low grumble town personaly. And if there are gains, i can't emagine it's much more than one or two hp over a Buschur 3" TBE? On top of that, if you do this, you'll more than likely be keeping the stock exhaust set up after that cut off thing which will still keep you 20 lbs heavier over a Buschur as well. Not worth it IMO.
