Anyone run any 0-60 or 1/4 times in their EVO?

Yea, I think everyone is aware of those numbers (thanks though). I want some stats of owners..seeing how I have to wait at least a week or 2 for mine to come in

When I took a test drive today I was pretty easy on it since the car only had 3 miles on the odo. It does have a nice feeling powerband although with a turbo engine its really hard to tell how its going to act until you get it under a full load condition.
My seat-of-the-pants guess is that a driver that knows how to launch and shift an AWD car may match the Road&Track number (5.1)for the EVO VIII.
Other than that I imagine the range will be more in the 5.2-5.4 second range stock. After g-teching a number of cars you start to get a feel for how quick vehicles are just by driving them. My best time to date is a 4.6 in a stage 3 WRX, the next a 4.8 for my Syclone, then in the 5.0-5.4 range for my tuned MCoupe and tuned S4's, and 5.6-5.9 for the E36 M3 and stock S4's and WRX. I can't wait to see where the stock EVO falls out!! Same G-tech btw! I usually don't g-tech until I have at least 2500-3000 miles on the engine.

My dealer told me they were doing 4.9 and 5.0 0-60s in the test car they got to drive. I don't know if they were g-teching or not... or if it was all just BS. Who knows. Well, if you wait a little bit the numbers will start popping up.

In a couple of weeks, after break-in, I will go to Baytown and do a couple of 1/4 runs on test and tune night.
Anyone in the Houston area up for a meet?

You could run it at that event in the index True Street Class
Can you give me more info on it. I am picking up the Evo next week as it is still scheduled for the 20th. Then next Friday or the following week I am going to San Antonio to make a customer call and get in all my break-in miles. I could just consider going at the end of the week and doing a pass or 2.
How much does it cost. I won't pay more than $20 to race, since I am only going for a single decent run.

With all of the pissing and moaning about WHP I think that a lot of people are interested as to what kind of real world acceleration figures an Evo can put down. I know for a fact that TearItUp is not all that interested in only going fast straight. He is doing this to let people know what kind of 1/4mi. times an Evo can get. I believe if he had his druthers the first time he truly tested his Evo it would be on an auto-x course.
