How much does it cost. I won't pay more than $20 to race, since I am only going for a single decent run.
Friday evening the track, San Antonio Raceway, will be open and there will be an small event for the www.texasracingscene.com folks and test and tune for the big dogs that will be racing the next day, Saturday at the the Clash of the Titans. http://www.bullittzero.com/Vbb/showt...&threadid=6671

You can race on Friday for $15, which is the usual fee to run at the track.

Saturday you can also run, but it will be in the event, which is kick ***!!! The cost is $30 to run in the class you would be in... which is called "True Street" 13.00-13.99 Index class. Payout is $200/$100 winner/runner up.

I've been to several "events" and this one by far is the best to attend to watch/hangout/run in! Cost to attend is only $15 or $20 for the pit pass. This event has a HUGE turnout! Everyone I know who is into cars, any cars, goes to this event!! Lots of nice looking women too http://www.theclashofthetitans.com

And this is coming from someone who is NOT a big fan of events... but I guess I just had not been to the good ones!

But your car is not a US EVO 8. So that doesn't help us much!

Anyone in the Houston area up for a meet?
Only 80 more miles to break-in. I would like to see you run and maybe I will run mine. Let me know when your going.

I know its not an E8, but my E7 did 0-60 in 4.4 sec with the G-Tech. Also took it the local 1/8th mile, did 8.3 @83 mph. Then the clutch went out. Cant wait to get it back and put my new parts on it, then run it again.

As much as everybody knows the Evo is meant for the twisties you can't accurately represent car data in auto-x.
You need to run 1/4mi times to find out where the car is on performance. Auto-x has too much driver skill + setup involved for car data. We'll know the true power output of the Evo with some trap speeds posted. Trap is all that matters cuz that should be relatively close on all decent runs. Driver skill represents 60' and overall ET. If it wasn't going to rain this weekend I'd be at the drag strip. I guess I'll have to wait until next weekend for testing. Oh well my car will be even more broken in.
