its cool man, i assume you're still on the stock turbo? put an aftermarket turbo on your car and build your motor and the tables may take a turn

I am not to be suprised you got beat by a car with a built motor with an FP red, I'm sorry but that turbo has been proven almost 9's before
9's on a 2.4l stripped 1G DSM. That's a completely different turbo than a WRX FP Red. The DSM Red is 60lb/min compressor wheel and the WRX Red is a 65lb/min compressor wheel. Even with the larger compressor wheel there is no way that turbo is going to get even a stripped STi down even close to low 10's.

As it stands right now, a stripped STi needs a GT35R to just break into the 10's, probably a GT42 or bigger for low 10's. I know the evo is a superior car, which is why I actually needed to build my car and dump in twice the amount of cash he did to run with him. There is no hate there at all, everyday I wish I had a Red GSR with the SS&L package.

And BTW, his car is 3220 with him in it, evoland doesnt remember his numbers very well YGDN.

It's nice to see an STi owner give some respect to the EVO.

FWIW, fastest time for a RED is 10.122 according to DSMtimes by Julian Thomas with a 1G AWD. Don't know what size his engine is. Have you seen a specific car run faster?

BTW, Nice cars and vid.

^^^ It's amazing the misinformation on da intrawebnet...

The Red has proven to be a major contender among the ranks of the fastest DSMs in the world. Pruven Performance went 9.90 @ 142mph on an off the shelf Red turbo, Curt Brown has run a best of 9.87 @ 145.7 with his FPRed model turbocharger, and Dale Nardozzi has run 10.275 @ 132.75mph using an FPRed in his VR4 Galant! All these were WITHOUT NITROUS

Right, how about my car weighing in at 420 lbs heavier than his? Was that my way? How about the boost leak I had that was discovered after the race? Was that my way?

He didn't bog that badly, my launch wasnt that good anyway, the video cam was at an angle that made it look better than it was. He got pulled in 1st through 3rd and then he gained some ground in his 4th gear because of my boost leak.
