Can someone tell me what are the differences?

Hi i'm new to the forum and lately when I'm reading through different member's threads I see people say Evo 8 GSR, Evo 8 RS-5, RS-6, MR, RS. Can someone please tell me what are the differences between all of these? I'm so confused. I tried the search bar and have yet to find a thread that gave me an explanation

i will do my best but keep in mind that i am tired so i might miss a few things:

EVO 8 GSR- our standard model. comes with a 5spd gear box, power everything, radio/cd, a/c etc..
EVO 8 RS- a stripped down version of the GSR. it has no sound deadning, no stereo, no abs, no HID, no power windows, no sunroof etc... costs a bit less than the GSR and is a bit lighter and faster.
EVO 8 RS5 OR RS6- the RS 5/6 represent the gear box of the car with the RS 5 having 5 gears and the 6 with 6spd. we only get the 5 spd in the USDM RS though...
EVO 8 MR- a mitsubishi racing edition which includes a few exclusive mods: bilstein shocks, bbs rims, aluminum lightweight roof, 6spd tranny, a few aero additions....

i am sure i left a few details out but this should give you the basics..

be aware that the term gsr is what we call the usdm evo 8. even though its not a gsr. a gsr is a jdm name equal to usdm evo mr

I'm not sure but I thought that jdm GSR is same as eurospec GSR but it has 6-speed gearbox instead of 5-speed. Therefore it doesn't have the aluminium roof etc.

You can buy a 6 speed box and conversion kit from TRE for an 8 or RS.

Dont forget the Euro Versions FQ-XXX (F%&@ Quick) - more or less factory option cars. Leading up to the top FQ-400. Search around for the Top Gear review of all the cars, its good watching.
