Walk away with just some whiplashes

Almost lost it last evening. I took my car along the back road. The last corner it was unbelievable. The car started to go off road and slide for a few feet along the gutter and the bushes. Thought I caused some major damages, but walk away with just some minor scratches. The grass got stuck in between the tires and the wheels while that happend .

Slow in, fast out. Slow in, fast out. That should always be the mantra.

Sucks though :[

Wow, good thing you weren't hurt and the car only suffered minor damage. There are too many threads on EvoM about crashed evos....

I'm glad you're safe, but damn. And thanks for posting photos. I hate when people just try to discribe things w/ out pics.

The turn was pretty tight and it had a bang in it. I went in after downshifting into 2nd I gotta be going around 45 - 50 mph. The problem was as I exit the corner, I decided to give it more gas that's when it happend. I had no room to clear out the rear end. I washed my car today and man was I lucky, still got some scratches to fix tho. I'm sure I can buff that out a bit. Still gotta get the grass out of the tires tho.

Glad you only slightly hurt your EVO and not yourself and thankfully no one else. Look up a local SCCA club and driver where it is safe.

I forget which of the well known old racers said this (Moss, Fangio, etc.) but it goes something like this .... You are better off going in slow and coming out fast then you are going in fast and coming out dead. I have always thought that this was a pretty good piece of advice.

Heck yeah it was fun untill that happend
I always drive on that road, the road is almost unoccupied. It's country road, nothing but cows and sheeps. I'mma have to look up a local SCCA club just to be safe. I'm never gonna take my evo on another joy ride again, unless it's track day. Never been to the track before, sounds like fun...and safe.

Well I went to sear's today and got the tires fix, free of charge. It's still under warrenty.

You lucky man, lets just hope you learn from it. Those look like the WORK wheels but for like half the price.
