i just heard it from other board members, supposedly to get power beyond that you have to get new cams? i think the whole mivec bringing problems is all hype, its still the 4g63 engine
Personaly I would just use that extra money that I would have to spend to get the IX on the 03. I think it would make you alot happier to have a 500hp monster than a IX since the difference between the VIIIs and the IXs arent that big. But hey that's just my opinion to each his own.
if i were you and you were me...id do it... im having so many damn problems with this 03 that its not even funny! id trade it in in a heart beat... ACD, front and rear lsd, MIVEC, Leather recaros, 6 speed, and just to be able to say...i have an MR...
Here is why I think you should get the 9:
1. Mivec 4G63 (more low end torque and more power up top)
2. Improved turbo (quicker spool and more power up top)
3. ACD (better handling in all conditions)
4. LSD in front diff (better handling)
5. Same stout 5 or 6 speed with revised ratios without any 03 TC issues
6. If you get the MR (bilsteins, Aluminum roof, lighter BBS wheels, etc)
and finally that new car smell, thats actually toxic for you LOL!

id do it for the front lsd and the acd since your an 03 the 10.5 would be nice....would i trade a 05 for a 06....only if i got tired of white.

BTW - I'd go for the IX. IMO, there are some pretty significant changes between the 03s and the 06s.
