Transformation has begun!

Mods I didn't know if Evo general or the Turbo/drivetrain forum was the correct one to post in. If you prefer you can move it to the turbo forum.

After seeing the notorious Florida Evo I bit the bullet and decided to heavily mod my car. I just purchased 2003 last week on Thursday and ordered the parts yesturday.

The car was dropped off at TopSpeed in Georgia and some of the parts are being installed as we speak so I can make a drag event this upcoming weekend. Thanks to Doug and Tray @ TopSpeed for ordering, installing, and dyno tuning my car on such short notice to make the drag event this weekend.

Big thanks to Buschur Racing for producing great parts and telling us the results as he finds out.

Keep in mind, I just bought the car last week on Thursday. Here is what is being installed as I type this.

AEM EMS w/wideband, sensors, and 5 bar map
mini battery and relocation kit
Buschur upper pipe kit w/1G bov
Buschur 3in Turbo back exhaust
HKS 280 cams
ARP studs
Exedy Triple disc carbon
Perrin boost controller

Here is a list of parts ordered yesturday.

Buschur GT35R turbo kit
Buschur stage 3 head
Buschur 2.3l stroker kit
Buschur alky injection kit(I'm running methanol)
Buschur race front mount intercooler
Buschur ported intake manifold
Buschur 65mm throttle body
Buschur timing belt kit w/kevlar belt
MSD DIS 2 HO w/GM coils
Weldon fuel pump
Tial bov
1200cc injectors
Aeromotive fpr w/guage

I'm looking for around 650whp with these mods and I think that is a realistic goal.

To be continued....

The top list is going on as we speak and I pick the car up on Thursday. The bottom list was ordered yesturday and will go in in 2-3 weeks or when all the parts show up.

wish i had that kind of money to just drop on a evo all at one time. did you take out a lona or something, sell an arm or leg or something. because it seems with the money that you are spending all at one time you would have started with a new 05

Actually I was in a car accident that left me with severe injuries lifelong disabilitys. I am using some of the money from my accident settlement to pay for this.

It would be stupid to buy a new 05 or 06 and do these mods. I would have no warranty so whats the point. I picked up the Evo last week for only $18,000 cash!

No clue. I haven't added everything up as of yet.

I just ordered the rims a few minutes ago and I still have more stuff to order.

Eventually the car will have a APR widebody kit, 17 or 18x10's, and a roll cage.

I am taking baby steps with this car with the first step being the engine bay. Suspension, body kit, and roll cage are coming up soon.

i hope you didnt take that the wrong way. but for someone to just by an evo and drop all that on it within a week or two of owning it most pople would say that he is probably pretty well off. and most of the time they would start off with an 05.

that's cool and all, but for me, half the fun is seeing how the car reacts to each mod, one at a time, and enjoying that one for a while. l think if l did all that stuff at one time, l would get bored with the car quick after that. Modding slowly keeps me interested l guess, l dunno.....
