questions..

i know im most likely going to get flammed on this and everyone is gunna tell me to search but i tried to no avail.. anyways got a mech. defi d boost gauge off someone i know and it didnt come with the vaccum line. so i wanted to know how long i should get to route it to the steering column. also i went to autozone and they said that they do all the cutting and everything and wasnt sure how thick the line is. also what other parts do i need to pick up to install this because im sure that it onl came with the gauge+wires, so i think i need a "T"fitting? err
think theres a write up on installing the boost controller also so probily going to try to do it in one sitting..
so just wanted to know what tools and things i need to go out to buy b4 i get started on this project thanks and if flamming.. be easy on me
(p.s. grammer isnt perfect so dont kill me on that)

The tubing that comes with the guage is 10'-5". How long it will need to be will depend on where you want to mount it and how you route it through the firewall. I went through the rubber gromet tucked behind the passanger side shock tower and installed the guage in an A-pillar pod. I think this is the longest way to do it and I used every damn inch. You could probably knock off a foot or two if you are mounting to the steering colum or taking a shorter route through the firewall. What you will need: 1)guage , 2)vacum tubing , 3)T-fitting , 4)a couple of real small zip ties , 5)wire cutters & what ever else to ground one wire and tap the other into green & white striped wire in your dimmer switch assembly (wire cutters, solder, shrink tubing, electical tape, razor blade, more zip ties, etc. , 6)guage pod or mounting bracket. Here are the how to's:

I'm not sure what size the tubing is, the Defi maual doesnt say, just bring the guage with you to the auto parts store. I just did this a couple of days ago, good luck.
